Nepal Spurs is the only Official Supporters’ Club of Tottenham Hotspur in Nepal. The idea of establishing a Supporters’ Club began in the early 2010s. With supporters of top 4 clubs rising in big numbers, to find a fellow supporters was a tough ask. All thanks to the emergence of social media which helped to unite few around the capital city Kathmandu. We created a facebook group to find fellow Spurs supporters and slowly the number increased from one to another. Tottenham is so close to my heart. I started supporting Spurs from 2006/07 season, when I was just 13 years of age. The famous lilywhite kit and striker duo Robbie Keane – Dimitar Berbatov enticed me to become a Spurs fan. Since then, I have supported Spurs with all my hearts. Spurs is my love , my life , my passion and the emotion I have for Spurs is immense. I am proud to be a Spurs fan. Tottenham Till I die.
No doubt I came into Spurs with a strong influence but the most important thing to mention is I got into it like no other clubs. Tottenham has the spark that when I see someone wearing Tottenham jersey , even when I don’t know that random guy I can’t stop smiling and tell him “Oh Tottenham!!”. So it’s a strong feeling of unconditional support.
Growing up as a football fan was really hard as I was totally confused with which club should i go for. With proven big clubs as United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool left me in dilemma. But everything happens for a reason, I have no idea, how on earth, I felt loving this beautiful club. Me and my colleagues from Nepal Spurs, we all may be handful in comparison with other fan clubs here in Nepal, but we definitely are organic and very proud as a Tottenham fan. One life, One Love!
Don’t really know what exactly made me support Spurs (Berbatov may be ) but it has been my part of life as the seasons have gone by. The feeling you get when Spurs perform well , win games is special. We know that our club is growing as a much ‘Bigger’ club and I am growing together with Spurs as a football fan.
