"It's worrying times for Tottenham. They are already 10 points adrift in the league and so that is a huge ask. Then they ask can we win a trophy? This one has gone now. "I do think they have to find a way to win games quickly. Mauricio Pochettino is a wonderful manager but a lot of those players have to stand up and take accountability."

Tottenham’s wait for away win since last eight months still continues as they were stunned by Leicester last week in their Premier League campaign.

Harry Kane scored the opening goal after Ndidi saw his goal ruled out by VAR. Spurs were comfortable and it looked like they doubled the lead when Serge Aurier sent his shot past the Leicester keeper until the VAR ruled it out.

The momentum of the game changed in Leicester’s favor after that decision and they scored two goals to make Spurs still waiting for their away win.

The Spurs No 2 Gazzaniga was in the goal for Tottenham due to absence of No 1 Hugo Lloris because of his personal reasons. Gazzaniga’s howler gave the Leicester early lead but was ruled out by VAR. Gazzaniga produced some fine saves but couldn’t do anything to stop the Maddision’s winner.

After the game Maddision told “That is what Leicester is all about. We are a top side — we have to be seen as one now. Nobody will want to come here and play us, we are showing we are a real threat here. People moan what VAR takes away from the game but if they rule goals out like that we’ll be happy. It adds to it. If I am going to take my game to the next level, I need to be scoring goals so I was happy to see that one go in.”

Tottenham Hotspur Manager Mauricio Pochettino: “The performance I think was good. After Wednesday, a long flight, I think the performance was fantastic. The game until 83 minutes we were the best team on the pitch. That changed completely the feeling in the last seven minutes or so. We need to be fair when we are going to assess and played some good football. Happy with the performance but not the result”.

Like the Spurs boss said happy with the performance but not the result, Spurs were in control of the game until that Aurier goal but they need to be more deadly in these type of games. They should create more opportunities and seal the victory when opportunities come their way.

Before the Leicester game against Palace they looked fierce, hungry and intense but against Leicester they were unable to repeat the same and stunned in the last minutes.

In present context it seems like there are many problems to be solved inside and outside the pitch for spurs which is affecting their form. These types of problems should be solved soon otherwise it will be hard to gain the spot inside top six this season.

Colchester Vs Tottenham: League Cup

After the disappointing Saturday against Leicester in the Premier League all the Spurs fan were looking to bounce back in style against the League two side Colchester united in the League Cup.

But the result was directly opposite to the expectation, the Premier League side was stunned by the League two side on the shootout after frustrating them for 90 minutes.

Spurs fielded the side featuring the likes of Moura, Alli, Wanyama, Sanchez, Davies and Gazzaniga captained by Dier. But the big name players were unable to put the impressive performance against the Colchester and the result is in front of everyone Spurs are knocked out from the League Cup.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino: “Colchester made a fantastic game, it was difficult. We are so disappointed we could not score in 90 minutes.

“They beat Palace on penalties too, that can happen. That’s the beauty of the competition, always something can happen.

“We wanted to go further but we are out.”

Colchester manager John McGreal: “It’s a fantastic night for the players and the club and even the staff.

“When you are coming up against the players of Tottenham’s calibre, sometimes on these type of nights you need a bit of luck.

“It’s a great occasion for us.”

Like the Colchester manager said the result was fantastic for the League two side but seriously it is the wakeup call for Tottenham Hotspur.

After the game Former Bolton manager Owen Coyle said: “It’s worrying times for Tottenham. They are already 10 points adrift in the league and so that is a huge ask. Then they ask can we win a trophy? This one has gone now.

“I do think they have to find a way to win games quickly. Mauricio Pochettino is a wonderful manager but a lot of those players have to stand up and take accountability.”

Exactly as Owen said things need to be changed quickly at N-17 and players have to put on the spot on performance.

If the club want to achieve some success then they have to win trophies and they can’t blow away the games and tournaments like this. Now it’s the time to put on performance and avoid the worst scenario for the club and the manager.

#POCHOUT: It’s not the solution but beginning of the problem

In recent weeks the results are not going in the favor of Mauricio Pochettino’s men and to make the scenario more worse they were knocked out by the League Two side Colchester from the League Cup.

Tottenham are unable to win a single away game since last eight months and they are unable to put on the satisfying performance on the field from long ago.

Last season they finished fourth and reached the final of the Champions league but none of the performance were satisfying except few.

The reward for the success and the blame for the loss both are taken by the head coach of the club Mauricio Pochettino.

In the recent weeks the club faithful are divided on their opinion regarding Pochettino due to the continuous poor performances of the club.

Some are backing the manager whereas some are stable in their own stand: #PochOut.

But is #Pochout really the solution to the scenario of the club? looking at the present context of the club this one is not the solution but it will be the starting of many problems.

Because the club project is developed around him as well as few of the big names in the club are staying due to his relation with them. He is the man behind all the success we are achieving currently. In his six season in the club he has driven the club forward not backward. He made us competitor of the Premier League as well as regular in the champion’s league and took us to the Champions League final despite of the various limitations.

He had limited financial resources and the squad without proper depth but was able to drive us towards the success. The main reason for his success in the past was that he was able to unite all the players towards the same objectives and goals. He motivated the young players and created the bond among all the players and staffs so they were directed to achieve the same objectives.

But now the scenario is different and he is continuously stating that this is the most unsettled group of players he is managing in his Spurs time.

There are rumors that he has lost the dressing room with the players after the Champions League final’s decision of playing Kane in front of Moura. Players and fans should not make this issue as he is the man in charge of the club and thinks only what will be good for the club.

He may have some weakness like he never use substitutes in time to change the game, likes to experiment when the team needs the distinct results and few more. But everyone is not perfect and it’s not easy as we say from outside.

He is the man in charge and has very good relation with the chairman, he has dragged us towards the path of success and we cannot overlook these things. There are both good and bad times in the club and at that time the manager like him needs backing from the board, players and club’s faithful’s.

So rather than looking for the alternatives the club and the manager both should look to solve the existing problem and move forward to achieve the targeted objectives again.

And the club fans should understand the importance of the man who is capable, have done more than enough for the club with limited resources and fits the clubs philosophy. The big clubs are continuously knocking the door for the man so everyone should get behind the team and back him for the improvement as we have faced the worse condition of the club due to continuous change of the managers in the past. We cannot afford to repeat the same mistakes again.
