In the second half Harry Kane changed the game, his movement and link play was incredible. He allowed Sonny to play in a different position.

Southampton 2-5 Tottenham
Goals: Ings(32,90(p) ). Son(45+2,47,64,73) Kane(82)
Our talisman provided 4 assist ,highest in a single game by a englishman to hattrick hero Son Heung-min as spurs run second half riot to win 5-2 away at St.Mary’s .
After a difficult first half against Ralph Hassenhüttl’s men who were leading until the stoppage time of first half spurs attacking duo certainly showed they were class above as the pair combined for Sonny’s 4 goal and Harry added the 5th before getting replaced by Bergwijn.
Once again our defence was all over the place as we were threatened too many times by Che Adams and Danny Ings. Skipper Lloris produced some brilliant saves but was beaten by Ings who controlled and finished a lovely lofted ball from Walker-peters, there were few individual errors and lack of quality in left side of defence in the first half, then out of nowhere Frenchman Ndombele produced a superb turn to decieve two opposition midfielder and passed to Kane who provided Son to level the score. Due to fitness reason Locelso came on for Ndombele and started to control the midfield somewhat on his own and was covering everything. Jose tweaked the role of Kane who dropped off to receive the ball in midfield and provided running ball to Son who exploited the space left by high-line Southampton defence and calmly finished to complete his first ever premier league hattrick and added the fourth on 73rd minute. Harry Kane fired from close range after substitue Lamela’s low drilling shot was punched by Mccarthy . The final score was 5-2 to spurs as Ings finished somewhat a controversial penalty.
It was a big win in a long time and certainly what this group of players worked very hard for their manager deserved but the win masked the shortcomings in the defence and the control in midfield in some phases. Even after the win Jose won’t be very convinced of his side’s defending who have conceded each game this season.
Inclusion of Winks-Hojbjerg pivot was not a great tactical idea as they pair didn’t compliment each other and were not in control of the game. Eric Dier was once again in anchoring CB role but despite some good moments he didn’t had a solid afternoon. New signings Doherty and Hojbjerg are settling in the squad and have been average but not spectacular as left back Ben Davies doesn’t look solid and confident as he is touted. Attackers except Son and Kane have to put in a shift in productivity in upcoming games as Gareth Bale edges closer to the team.
The snub of Dele was a big talking point as there were rumors of him unsettled in the team.
With games coming thick and fast and knockout one-off ties every player should step up when called upon and be ready.
Upcoming games will have some fresh faces as they will be looking to impress their manager.
As always Come on you
