Talking Points After Manchester Game

Looking at the beginning of the game no one would have thought it will end that way. It was the match that will always be remembered as we put six past the red devils in their own den.

25 seconds into the game and Manchester United were one ahead as they scored from the spot. But at last it was Tottenham who had their best game and completely tharased their opponent. Two goals from Heung Min Son, two from Harry Kane and one each from Ndombele and Aurier swept away host in the premier league super Sunday clash.

Here are few points to talk after the game.

Tanguy Ndombele
Tanguy Ndombele is not showing any signs of slowing down as he is getting better and better. If it was Ndombele from last season then he wouldn’t have pounced on that loose ball from which he equalised. We have seen the transformation of Tanguy Ndombele this season but against United we saw another side of Tanguy which was very rare, he was firing shots after shots at United Keeper. If the frenchman keeps on improving himself like this then it wil be hard for oppositions to face him every week. Arrival of Hojbjerg has helped him a lot as Hojbjerg sits behind and provides him opportunity to roam ahead freely. Tanguy has two more weeks to train before we return as he is not included in the french squad, this time is going to be very crucial for his further development. Like we always said its Tanguy time.

Kane and Son Combine Again
The duo of Harry Kane and Son Heung Min has been phenomenal this season, they have developed such an understanding between them that they find eachother everytime they look to setup Tottenham attack.

Harry kane has always been a complete striker but this season he has changed himself to a complete team player. He drops down to collect the ball and finds his teammates with his perfect defense splitting passes, against United also that was his clever free kick from which Son scored to retain the lead. There was no doubt that he has perfect vision for goals but this season he has developed his vision perfectly to find his teammates too. He is not shooting from unusual positions instead he is looking for his teammates who are in clear position for goals. With such performance it is clear that this season he will bag goals and assists in double figures.

Before the united game Son had missed previous two games due to injury and was serious doubt for the game but the Korean started the game and was deadly once again as he bagged brace. The combination of Kane and Son has given benefit to both players as they are banging goals and grabbing assists everytime they find each other.

Now after the fixtures resume once again, this duo of Kane and Son will see the addition of third player to form a new attacking trio. Gareth Bale will join them to form a new attacking trio for Mourinho`s team, exciting time ahead as the fans always dreamt of seeing Bale linking up with Son and Kane at Tottenham.

Gaffer`s Obedient Lad
Erik Lamela gives his all for the team when he is playing, he is known for his passion and along with passion he mix a little bit of black art in his game. Developed in Italy Lamela has knowledge of executing black art of football properly and Jose is huge fan of his play, against United also he demonstrated the same.

It was Tottenham corner and Anthony Martial was man marking Lamela at that moment Lamela raised his hands in face of Martial and it provoked Martial for instant reaction as he slapped his hands in face of Lamela. The incident was noticed by the match refree and Martial was sent off, it is always big risk to execute the black art but when it comes to shithousery Lamela is always on the winning side. On his arrival Jose had told his players: : “For 90 minutes you cannot be nice, you have to be a bunch of c*nts, intelligent c*nts not stupid c*nts, bastards in the sense you are going to win matches!” and as per the gaffers words Lamela proved himself to be the intelligent one.

Serge Aurier Proving the Point
When Matt Doherty arrived everyone was saying the same; Its time to say goodbye to Serge Aurier. But Jose clearly denied the rumors and made it clear that he doesnot have any intention to sell Serge and the arrival of Doherty will not end the Ivorians Tottenham career.

Like Ben Davies in left there was no one to compete with Aurier for that right back spot. Now there is competetion for the spot and that has certainly pushed Aurier to perform. In every game this season his performance has been brilliant and the game against United was one of the best of his Spurs career. His defensive display was proper and when going forward he looked different player. His passing and crossing was spot on as he grabbed an assist and at last his whole performance was topped up by his superb strike past David De Gea. With this type of performance in every match from Aurier, along with Doherty we have another brilliant wingback in our team.

In the beginning of this season when everyone else including him were thinking of his next club Mourinho believed in him, worked to improve the ivorian and kept faith on him now he is proving that his gaffer was right with his point.

Overall Team Performance
The team with overall team performance is always dangerous than the team that depends on the individual brilliance. Against United our team performance was on next level, there was proper understanding among the players as they were jointly up for everything.

Hugo Lloris had his off day as he had nothing to do apart from taking out the ball from the net and catching some balls.

Sergio Reguilon had his Pl debut and it was not bad as he looked bright in both defensive and offensive aspects.

Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez had less problem in centre of the defense apart from that penalty error.

Hojbjerg once again showed that why we bought him, he was there to break every united attack and was up ahead to grab assist in his name. He was leader on the pitch continiously motivating and backing his teammates. His passing and vision was brilliant once again and in terms of completing passes he stands on top with 341 passes in the premier league this season.

As always Mousa Sissoko was once again the workhorse for the team as he covered almost every blades of the grass. He covered the right back spot when Serge was moving forward and was on the right place everytime when his teammates looked for him.

Apart from them Aurier, Lamela, Son,Kane and Ndombele brilliantly linked up with team despite of their individual brilliance.

The main transfer window has closed on 5th september. This was one of the best transfer window for us recently. We recruited the players in those areas where we were weak and the incoming names are well experienced with strong mentality. The most important thing is that all the incoming names are the players Jose wanted. Only the deal we were unable to complete was of Milan Skriniar but we were able to complete the other deal in bargain price with levy involved in it.

Still the domestic transfer window is open and we are linked with Joe Rodon of Swansea, we have to wait and see weather the deal will go over the line or not in the coming days.

Finally after playing days in and days out this was a much needed break for us as players will have opportunity to relax themselves .
